Maths at Braunstone Frith Primary School

In Key Stage 2 the emphasis is to build on the mathematical skills acquired in Key Stage 1.

There is a calculation policy that bridges both key stages that ensures the children are taught consistently and progressively. Children regularly have opportunities to use and apply the practical skills they have learned.

The children investigate mass, capacity, length, time, shape and data handling. Wherever possible, Mathematics and ICT are linked to mutually improve the children’s skills.

Children enjoy maths at Braunstone Frith Primary School and readily talk about what they have learned.
